Dear Members

The congress at Helsingør was a great success! May I say that? I'll do it anyway. And here are the people who deserve the credit.

Suzan Lentz Marianne Leth
Mette Littau Anette Selmer Lorentzen

Why was it such a success?

Blame it on the excellent scientific program: Including new topics like Social anthropology and ART, HIV and ART, ART after cancer treatment. Round Table discussions on ART and the press, acupuncture, and the Nordic vision of single embryo transfer. Educational sessions on Genetics and ART, Stem cells and the laboratory with elegant time lapse illustration of gametes to blastocysts. Debates on oocyte donors, safety and efficacy.

Blame it on the fantastic setting and the excellent cuisine.

Blame it on an un-traditional social program including a night in open air theatre with sea gull commentaries on performance quality.

Blame it on the weather and the deep blue sea , and the view of Sweden across the channel.

Blame it on the industry putting the cherry on the top. Would it all be possible without their generous support?

But not the least, blame it on the enthusiasm and interest of the delegates who attended this memorable conference.

It was all a rich and, I hope for many, valuable experience that will carry us on to new endeavors at our clinics, better treatment of our patients and that it has sown the seeds that will sprout and grow for our next conference at Åre.
