ESPOO - A promise well kept

On behalf of all the delegates who came to the XVIIth NFS conference in Espoo, Finland, and the NFS Board, I want to thank the Organising Committee for a fabulous conference.

We were not disappointed. You fulfilled your promise with a generous overflow. The scientific program was right on track giving us insight into the current Nordic status on Single Embryo Transfer including its relation to Cryopreservation, and the meaning and implementation of the EU-Directives in the different Nordic countries.

All the member professions were provided with excellent parallel sessions in perfect locations, giving ample possibility to learn and develop and build networks.
On top of all this an excellent social program brought us into contact both with Finnish history and the Archipelago surrounding Helsinki (a wonderful outing despite the untimely sneeze from the weather gods), and a swinging Gala evening to crown it all. 

Than you all for a tremendous job well done.

Now we look forward to the next conference in Oslo January 2008.  The organising committee for that conference will need the assistance of Wirkola.
